Carmel is a big alpha mare who "tests" each person she meets to see if they are worthy of her. To gain her trust, you have to show her you are not afraid of her, treat her with kindness, and the mutual respect develops from there. She has taken me on a couple of trail rides where I wasn't so sure I wanted to go down the trail, but she kept on going as if that was just another ride. I've never felt safer on a horse. Carmel is "Snipper's" dam and is shown in foal above. She s due to have another foal this March or early April. The pictures below were taken two years ago when I bought her.
